How to mix your spot removers

Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out: Call Steve's Cleaning & Restoration

Ammonia: One teaspoon clear ammonia to one-half cup water

Laundry Detergent: One teaspoon of laundry detergent to one cup water

Dish Detergent: One teaspoon mild dish detergent to one cup water

White Vinegar: One - third cup white distilled vinegar to two-thirds cup water

Dry Cleaning fluid: This may be picked up at a hardware store or a paint store

Alcohol - Beer -Whiskey
1. Apply warm tap water or soda water or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out
2. Blot dry

Blood
1. Apply cool dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
2. Apply cool ammonia solution and blot.
3. Apply laundry detergent solution.
Rinse with tap water and blot dry.

Chocolate
1. Apply cool dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
2. Apply ammonia solution and blot.
3. Rinse with tap water Blot.again
4. Apply white vinegar solution.
5. Rinse with tap water and blot dry.

Crayons
1. Apply dry cleaning solution and blot
2. Repeat until stain fades.
3. Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out blot again.
4. Rinse with tap water and blot.

Flood Damage- water and sewage
If this isn't handed properly you could have health problems

Fruit -Juice -Jelly - Soda -Artificial color
1. Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
2. Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
3. Rinse with tap water and blot.
4. Apply laundry detergent solution and blot.
5. Rinse with tap water and blot dry.

Grease
1.Apply dry cleaning solution

Gum
1.Freeze with ice cubes.
2. Scrape and break off as much gum as passable.
3. Apply dry cleaning solution and blot.

Ink
1.Apply dry cleaning solution or call Steve's Cleaning & Restoration
2. Some ink is permanent and can't be removed.

Ketchup
1. Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
2.Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
3. Apply laundry detergent solution and blot
4.Rinse with tap water and blot dry.

Shoe Polish
1. Apply dry cleaning solution and blot.
2. Repeat until stain is gone or faded.
3.Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot
4. Rinse with tap water and blot.
5. Apply ammonia solution and blot.
6. Rinse with tap water and blot.

Tea
1.Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
2.Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
3. Apply laundry detergent solution and blot
4.Rinse with tap water and blot dry.

Urine
1.Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
2. Apply ammonia solution and blot.
3.Rinse with tap water and blot.
4. Apply white vinegar solution and blot
5. Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
6. If the oder is in the pad call Steve's Cleaning & Restoration for more help.

Vomit
1.Apply laundry detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
2.Apply ammonia solution and blot.
3. Rinse with tap water and blot.
4.Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
5. Rinse with tap water and blot dry.

Wax
1.Cover the wax with several layers of dry towels and use a warm iron on top of the towels.The wax will transfer into the towels. Keep changing the towels.
2. Apply dry cleaning solution on any remaining residue.

Wine
1.Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
2.Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
3.Rinse with tap water and blot dry.
4.Apply ammonia solution and blot.
5.Some times applying more wine will help.

Lipstick
1. Apply dry cleaning solution and blot.
2.Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot.
3.Rinse with tap water and blot dry.

Milk
1. Apply warm water or soda water and blot
2. Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot
3. Apply ammonia solution and blot again
4. Rinse with tap water and bot dry.

Mud
1. Let dry.
2. Brush, scrape or vacuum off as much as possible.
3. Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out blot
4. Rinse with tap water and blot dry.

Mustard
1. Apply dish detergent solution or use Steve's Cleaning & Restoration Spot Out and blot
2. Apply white vinegar solution and blot.
3. Apply laundry detergent and blot
4. Rinse with tap water and blot.

Nail Polish
1. Apply nail polish remover with acetone.
Pretest a spot to see if has adverse affects on the carpet.

Oil
1. Apply dry cleaning solution and blot.
2.Call Steve's Cleaning & Restoration for more help.

Paint - Water-Based
1. Flush carpet with a lot of water and use a shop vacuum to suck up the paint and water.
2. Cover the paint with wet towels so that the paint doesn't dry and call Steve's Cleaning & Restoration for more help.

Paint - Oil-Base
1. Apply dry cleaning solution and bot.( don't over wet the carpet or it may delaminate)
2. For large spills cover the paint with plastic to keep the paint form drying and call Steve's Cleaning & Restoration for more help.

Rust
1. Cut a lemon in half and place it on the rust spot over may.
2. There are commercial rust removers that may be used but they are dangerous to use and must be extracted.
